1. Scope
This policy applies to Raqeem Assistant for Safari on iPad and to Raqeem Assistant services used by the extension.
Raqeem Assistant is an independent productivity application for healthcare professionals. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially associated with the Raqeem platform or its operator.
2. Patient information processed in the extension
Raqeem Assistant can read information displayed in the Raqeem electronic medical record when a healthcare professional intentionally uses extension features such as forms, dashboards, laboratory tools, medication workflows, or clinical documentation tools.
This information is processed to perform the action requested by the user. Raqeem Assistant does not maintain a separate remote patient-record database.
Patient identifiers are removed before operational logging data is transmitted. The remote logging service receives no actual Patient ID or MRN.
3. Information used to provide the service
Depending on the features used, Raqeem Assistant may process limited account, configuration, and service information required to operate the extension.
4. Operational logs
Raqeem Assistant may send limited technical operation logs to its logging service to help identify failures, troubleshoot workflows, and improve reliability.
The logging data may include a sender/account identifier, timestamp, operation status, message or reason, and sanitized technical JSON.
Before transmission, patient identifier fields such as Patient ID and MRN are removed from the logging payload. The patient identifier field used by the logging endpoint is left empty and does not contain the real patient identifier.
5. AI-assisted features
Some optional features can process text or audio submitted by the user to provide functions such as rewriting, dictation, recommendations, documentation assistance, or other AI-supported actions.
When a user intentionally activates one of these features, the text, audio, or prompt required to perform that request may be transmitted through Raqeem Assistant service infrastructure to an AI processing service.
Users should avoid including unnecessary patient-identifying information in AI requests and must use these features in accordance with their organization's privacy, security, and clinical policies.
Clinical content is not sent to an AI processing service simply because a patient record is open. Transmission occurs when the user intentionally invokes an AI-assisted function that requires processing.
6. Cloud Sync
If Cloud Sync or account-based synchronization is enabled, Raqeem Assistant may store or synchronize account-related configuration such as extension settings, shortcuts, preferences, and other user-level configuration required to provide the feature.
Cloud Sync is not intended to function as a cloud patient-record repository.
7. Messaging
If the messaging feature is used, messages and the account information necessary to deliver them may pass through Raqeem Assistant messaging infrastructure.
Users should not send patient-identifying or confidential clinical information through Raqeem Assistant messaging unless such use is specifically authorized by their organization and applicable policies.
8. Third-party services
Raqeem Assistant may rely on service providers for hosting, network delivery, AI processing, authentication, or other technical functions needed to provide requested features.
Information is shared with service providers only as needed to perform the requested service or maintain the operation and security of Raqeem Assistant.
9. Data retention
Service and operational information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant feature, maintain service reliability and security, comply with applicable obligations, or resolve technical issues.
Information voluntarily provided in a support request may be retained for as long as needed to respond to the request and maintain a support history.
10. Security
Raqeem Assistant uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed by its services. However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Healthcare professionals remain responsible for using Raqeem Assistant only on authorized devices and networks and for following their organization's privacy and information-security requirements.
11. Your choices
Users may stop using optional features such as AI tools, messaging, or Cloud Sync at any time by not invoking or enabling those features.
Requests concerning account information or privacy questions can be sent to the contact address below.
12. Children's privacy
Raqeem Assistant is intended for healthcare professionals and is not designed as a service for children.
13. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Raqeem Assistant features, services, or privacy practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
